Green Fire Tetra (Tank-Bred)

The Green Fire Tetra (Aphyocharax rathbuni) are known for their unique green and red coloration. They are a peaceful, and great schooling fish for a community aquarium.

Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.

Green Fire Tetras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
