The Blue King Tetra is a stunning freshwater fish that can add a vibrant pop of color to your aquarium. With its bright blue scales and unique patterns, it is sure to be a showstopper. As a member of the Boehlkea fredcochui species, this fish is known for its resilience and adaptability, making it a great addition to any aquatic ecosystem.

Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.

These fish are adult shrimp-safe, however, we recommend having sufficient plants or hiding spots in the aquarium for shrimplets. 

Blue King Tetra are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
