Blue Eye Lemon Bristlenose Plecos (L144) also known as Bushynose Plecos are awesome looking plecos are one of the few plecos that stay relatively small compared to their larger cousins. Their max size is up to 5 to 6 inches, which makes them great for most home aquariums. We sell them as Juveniles at around 1.5 to 2 inches in length.
They will grown bristles on their nose (hence, their name) as they get older, but the males will have more prominent bristles compared to the females. These fishes are great for algae control and will not bother most plants, they also should not bother freshwater dwarf shrimp.
Blue Eye Lemon Bristlenose Plecos (L144) are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters. The following are our water parameters we keep them at:
Our Tank Water Parameters
PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7 to 8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75
We feed them a mix of frozen foods and high-quality sinking pellets.

These guys are doing great, all over the tank, and growing quickly
Great looking fish, looked exactly like I ordered.
The bag was not fully inflated on any fish in my delivery, maybe that’s an indication of a problem with sealing the bags properly?
The fish was not happy upon arrival but is doing well in the tank.
We purchased one of these little guys back in January of 2024. I can honestly say he's been such a fantastic little addition to the tank. He arrived young and healthy, and we've been able to watch those little bristles grow on him this past year having him! Thanks for taking such good care of your live animals you send out from your shop! :D
This is a great little fish with a fun personality and a beautiful color
This little guy is so adorable but he’s timid and a trouble maker haha every time I turn my morning lights on I find him in my shrimp feeding dish making all the food go all over my tank. He’s keeping my tank clean though!
