These Zebra Nerite Snails are not only beautiful, but they are great algae eaters. They eat algae on aquarium walls, plants and substrate. These snails are also peaceful creatures and will not bother other tank inhabitants. We sell our snails at around 1 inch in diameter. These snails are named after the unique Zebra patterns they have on their shells.

Nerite snails will not breed in your tank unlike other snails as brackish water is required for their eggs to hatch. Hence, they will not take over an aquarium unlike other pest snails. 

We feed them a combination of our own foods Shrimpy Party, protein party, blanched vegetables (Spinach and Zucchini) and Mulberry leaves.

Temperature: 68F - 84F

PH: 7.4-8.4

KH: 3-14

Very pleased with the 12 nerite snails

Very pleased with the 12 nerite snails, which arrived in the last week. They were well-packaged and very secure. I am expecially impressed with their size. As meaured while on the aquarium glass sides, two are quarter size, several are nickel size or larger. I kept much of the packaging surrounding the snail with them to start acclimating. In additional, I took three hours to drip/temp acclimate the snails. This appears to have helped. The snails are fitting in well in a 37 gallon tall planted nano fish aquarium.
