Description
These Zebra Nerite Snails are not only beautiful, but they are great algae eaters. They eat algae on aquarium walls, plants and substrate. These snails are also peaceful creatures and will not bother other tank inhabitants. We sell our snails at around 1 inch in diameter. These snails are named after the unique Zebra patterns they have on their shells.
Nerite snails will not breed in your tank unlike other snails as brackish water is required for their eggs to hatch. Hence, they will not take over an aquarium unlike other pest snails.
We feed them a combination of our own foods Shrimpy Party, protein party, blanched vegetables (Spinach and Zucchini) and Mulberry leaves.

I ordered 6 of these guys a while back, it was a great purchase! 2 of them passed away shortly after receiving but it is to be expected shipping live animals across the country. The 4 alive are amazing! They’ve grown quite a bit and keep up with all the algae in the tank. Fantastic purchase.
First shipment of 3 was wonderful they 5 weeks later.
But this shipment of 6 only 2 are alive I believe they died in transport but who's to say. I would like some replacements but their not cheap. That was my monthly money I allowed myself to spend this month.
Overall good company I'll change my stars if they send me more snails. This place is terrific fabulous to deal with 100% recomend.
These little guys are cute and active. They came healthy and ready to be drip acclimated into their new aquarium and immediately began giving the tank a nice clean. They’re still looking great and have settled in well!
I got three Zebra snails and one was dead when I picked them up. It looked like the shell was cracked and it had a very unpleasant smell to it..

My first zebra nerite for some reason just didn’t do well and died around almost 2 weeks post acclimating them. My daughter was so devastated that “stripes” passed away. I reached out to shrimpy business and they sent me a replacement snail. These snails are beautiful and we are so happy to have “zeebs” as our newest snail in our tank thanks to shrimpy business!
Nerites are awesome! Very easy care requirements, plus they aren’t affected by salt like other snails. My tank is algae infested, so my snail never goes hungry. They do need food so growing algae on some rocks in a jar under a light or in a southern facing windowsill is a great way to grow some if your tank is pristine. An air stone will help the water from going stagnant.
This snail is massive! I ordered several and most came cute and tiny, but this one came cute and giant! Very healthy and has no shell damage or signs of stress at all! Very pleased with all the snail babies i got in my order, within minutes they were all cruising the tank and climbing rocks, plants, and the glass!

I like them very much. All arrived healthy! One had a cracked shell, so I’m watching it, but it is moving around the tank. But I’m pleased with my order!

My shipment was delayed thru USPS and everything arrived alive.
I have yet to have any issues with the snails I have gotten, just became a fan of them. This little Zebra is just adorable.
While it's only one day now, the nerite snails quickly adapted to their new home. They seem to fit right in with the others in the community aquarium. Even while drip acclimating, they were already moving around and continued to do so once in the main aquarium. Soo off to a good start.
