The Black Rose Shrimp is a dwarf freshwater shrimp native to Taiwan. Due to their original habitat, these shrimp thrive in planted tanks with a variety of shelter options and hiding spots. Our Aquarium Plant Variety Packs can help you create the ideal environment for your shrimp.
Black Rose Shrimp require very little feeding as long as your tank contains enough algae, biofilm, or decaying plant matter. We recommend feeding every other day with high-quality shrimp food.
Great for planted and community tanks, you can place your peaceful and friendly Black Rose Shrimp with mates like Neon Tetras, Kuhli Loaches, Corydoras, and other dwarf shrimp.
Our Black Rose Shrimp are shipped as young adults at a size of around 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch in length.
Black Rose Shrimp Breeder Pack
We created the breeder packs to ensure that hobbyist will have the ideal ratio to start a breeding colony. The Breeder pack will consist of 7 female and 3 male shrimp. For a total of 10 shrimp.
While the 5 packs and 10 packs are random scoops from our tanks and will not guarantee a specific male to female ratio.

They look pretty identical to the photos and although there was 2 DOA (which isn't a shock) the rest have acclimated to their new home just fine.
There's some slight variance in their color with some being a chocolatey brown and others being essentially black. I even received a berried female which more than makes up for those lost in shipping. I'd definitely buy more shrimp from here.

came all alive but one, which i was expecting more to be dead because they are delicate, acclimated them for 2 hours with a drip and they are very happy in my tank. ☺ï¸

Ordered a 5 pak and received 6 with 2 babies (8 total) YAY! I was a little worried though, because their colors were one dark brown, one light brown, 2 blue, 2 pinkish white. BUT after a day in their tank, ALL of them got very dark: black-brown. They look GREAT in my shrimp tank.

The black rose shrimp are so cool looking and fun to watch
The pictures just dont do these guys justice, but it's not camera or the operator's fault, these shrimp are just gorgeous and the black is like, ... "deep", like you cant capture it on camera. In addition, every single shrimp survived a 5 day ship (not the fault of Shrimpy Business in any way). They acclimated perfectly, and readily accepted food!
Definitely bought more shrimp from them lol
