The Toothpick Fish (Indostomus paradoxus) is a small, slender, and fascinating species of catfish native to the Amazon Basin. They are one of our top picks to add to a shrimp tank. They are a smaller fish and can grow to a a max size at about 1.5 inch which makes them perfect for planted nano tank. They are a peaceful nano fish even with small shrimp.
The Toothpick Fish can be pretty sensitive and will almost only eat live baby brine shrimp. Therefore, we do not recommend this fish to beginner aquarist.
