Sustainably bred and tank-raised, Sterbai Corydoras (Corydoras sterbai) make a hardy and wonderful addition to any freshwater aquarium. With their peaceful nature and diligent scavenging abilities, these fish not only add visual interest but also help maintain a clean and healthy environment for other aquatic life. We sell them at about 1 inch to 1.5 inches in length.

We recommend keeping these guys in groups of 3 or more for them to feel safe in a large school.  

Sterbai Corydoras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7 to 8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.

Tragic loss

These beauties were no doubt healthy little fish, but unfortunately all were lost due to cold weather and a shipping delay. I may try again, but I'm leaning more toward getting more of the peppered corys! I received a full refund for everything I lost, and would absolutely buy more without hesitation.

Extremely active, they are all over the tank. they don't shoal or school as much as I thought they would, but they have only been in the tank for a few days so we will see what happens. But they are heathy and very active. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Healthy corycats, very cute and active! I had one that passed a few days in, but all the rest are thriving-- which is saying a lot considering how difficult sterbai cories are to ship! I love watching them all day at work, very distracting, definitely love them!

We ordered 2 of these guys for a smaller aquarium. We got a male and female, Frida and Klaus. They were so small and cute when they arrived. Since they have grown and made a few babies, which I have moved to a bigger aquarium. They are very fun to watch sifting through the sand and swimming around. They hang out with the shrimp and are a very nice addition to our aquarium.
