The Siamese Algae Eater is a freshwater fish that is excellent for controlling algae growth. Its diet consists of filamentous and cyanobacteria algae, making it an effective and cost-efficient way to keep aquariums clean. This hardy species is easy to care for and can live up to five years in the right environment. These fish will not bother most plants, they also should not bother freshwater dwarf shrimp. 

The Siamese Algae Eater are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

We feed them a mix of frozen foods and high-quality sinking pellets.
