Description

To protect our animals and to ensure they get to our customers healthy, we will only ship orders with Nano Fish via UPS Next Day Air.

The Siamese Algae Eater  (Crossocheilus siamensisis) a freshwater fish that is excellent for controlling algae growth. Its diet consists of filamentous and cyanobacteria algae, making it an effective and cost-efficient way to keep aquariums clean. This hardy species is easy to care for and can live up to five years in the right environment. These fish will not bother most plants, they also should not bother freshwater dwarf shrimp.

The Siamese Algae Eater are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

Our Tank Water Parameters

PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7 to 8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75

We feed them a mix of frozen foods and high-quality sinking pellets.

Cool little algae munchers!

Even though it was HOT outside, the fish comfortable inside their comfy little box. I started slow acclimating right away, (for an hour), to make sure they stayed comfortable. I received 2 large, 1 medium-large, and 1 medium small for a total of 4. They started munching on the algae right away! I am very happy with the fish and service I've received from you!!

They are like the Cattle of the Tank

They are like the Cattle of the Tank.... They lineup and "graze" like cattle in the field... they have given the tank plants a make over by eating the algae off them...

They were put in a 10 gal tank together

They were put in a 10 gal tank together , with my one Octo and two dwarf puffers which are the only ones I am concerned About mainly because I havent seen them try and eat any of the blatter snails I throwed in the tank. That was the reason I bought the pea puffers, because the blatter snails are crasy breeding in my 21 gal. Only real problem I have right now is the green water has gotten so dark in my twenty one I cannt see my fish. Trying to get an infusorian culture going good enough to solve that. Anyway the three little dwarf cores and the algae eaterers are all looking good, very happy with them

These guys are cute and growing fast. They absolutely love kale, boiled for a minute in the microwave!
