About This Species

To protect our animals and to ensure they get to our customers healthy, we will only ship orders with Nano Fish via UPS Next Day Air.

The Rummynose Rasbora (Sawbwa resplendens) is a vibrant and active fish species that adds a burst of color to any aquarium. With its striking red and black markings, this fish is sure to catch the eye of any observer. Perfect for both experienced and beginner fish keepers, the Rummynose Rasbora is a peaceful and easy-to-care-for addition to your aquatic collection.

For them to show off their beautiful coloration we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 6 or more for them to feel safe in a school.

Rummynose Rasboras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

Our Tank Water Parameters

PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7 to 8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.

Very shy

Beautiful fish and they all came healthy but man are they shy. I want to add some dither fish but the chili rasboras were out of stock when I tried to order some. So were the green neon rasboras (sigh).
