Red Muzel Tetra (Tank-Bred)

The Red Muzel Tetra, also known as the Muzel Red Cherry Tetra (Hyphessobrycon sp.), is a captivating and rare freshwater fish prized for its vibrant coloration.

Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 3 or more for them to feel safe in a larger school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.

Red Muzel Tetras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
