Red Amano Shrimp 

Red Amano Shrimp or their scientific name Caridina multidentata, are very hardy and are great algae eaters. They are perfect beginner freshwater shrimp. These Amano Shrimp are sold at roughly 1/2" to 1"  in length and can grow up to 2". They are shrimp ninjas and are known to crawl out of the water, so make sure there is the lid on your tank! These are the red variation of the popular Amano Shrimp.

Red Amano Shrimp can also be kept with other colored shrimp like Cherry Shrimp and other Neocaridina varieties. They are very peaceful invertebrates and won't bother other shrimp and can survive in a large range of water conditions.
