To protect our animals and to ensure they get to our customers healthy, we will only ship orders with Nano Fish via UPS Next Day Air.
Pea Puffers are one of the more unique nano fish in the hobby today. Their beautiful patterns on their bodies along with their curious demeanor makes them really fun to watch!
They can grow up to 1 inch in length which makes them a smaller fish. However, they can be pretty territorial and aggressive to each other. For this reason, we recommend keeping not more than 3 per every 10 gallons. We also recommend plant cover for these fish to prevent aggression towards each other.
The following are our water parameters we keep them at:
Our Tank Water Parameters
PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7 to 8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75
We feed them a mix of live frozen daphnia, frozen bloodworms and small snails.

3 pea puffers came. 1 super sad. Other 2 fun. Im not sure the 1 will make it.
Hi Pheen, Thank you for your review! Glad 2 are fun! I am sorry to hear that 1 is super sad. It may have been stressed from the shipping but will stabilize soon! I have reached out to you via email to follow up on the health of that little puffer! Have a great day!
So cute and so lively!!
They all arrived in great shape. Quick service great gish
I got these beautiful girls a few months ago now. One passed away a week later but these two are thriving. The one that passed wasn't eating. It took the girls a few weeks to realize they could eat the snails that were over running the tank. I had to set up a snail breading tank as they won't really eat anything else.
They are so fun and interesting to watch. My cats to watch them too.
I had to wait a long time before it warmed up enough to ship these little beauties to my home up North. They are fascinating to watch, and are quite personable. Coming to the front of the tank to see if I have any newly hatched brine for them. They also eat snails, so when I don't have brine shrimp ready, I glean out snail from my other tanks. So far, I am really enjoying these little puffers.
