Description
The Large Dried Lotus are great addition to any shrimp tank. They provide many small hideouts for shrimp to hide and provide a large surface area for biofilm to grow. They also release tannin overtime which contains beneficial properties.
We sell these large Lotus Pods individually, they range from 2.7" to 3.5". We recommend boiling these pods for at least an hour to help them sink as they are pretty buoyant when they are totally dry.
We recommend boiling all botanicals before use in your aquarium. This is good practice when adding anything new to your aquarium.

This pod took a week to stop floating but it was worth it. After boiling and soaking it I attached two plant weights around the stem and floated it in the tank. It finally sunk today and it looks great!
I thought the lotus pod would feel harder, but it was softer than I thought it would be. I am nitpicking at this point, because I cannot find anything else that’s wrong with it LOL
Arrived in great condition. Boiled it for about two hours as it was still floating. Finally put a rock on top of it to help it stay in place. Cycling a new tank so no fish or shrimp for a while yet. By then I hope to be able to move the rock. I’m s it Rae the shrimp will love it!
Great look/still floating
The lotus pod I received was large! Perfect for shrimp, and I've seen some of my chili rasbora hovering in there too.
Item was exactly what it was advertised as. I recommend boiling it for about 10 minutes before putting it in a tank to help it sink and absorb water.
Love this for my shrimp tank! Boiled it for about 30 mins and was able to get it to sink. My shrimp love their new “apartment”!
This was exactly as expected.
Really nice. As described and just what I was looking for.
Was very difficult to get this to sink. So far shrimp have stayed clear of it.
Came crushed Not properly packaged
My large lotus pod arrive in great shape. I am a rookie to keeping shrimp and I should have soaked the pod first as it is still floating but it will look great once its in its proper spot.
Cute pod! Also having the floating issue. Gonna try gluing it to a rock or something :] it added some tannins though
Lotus pod was in excellent condition, wonderful addition to my tank.
These are amazing looking! We can't wait to add them to our tanks! Will definitely buy more of these in the future!
My Lotus Pod is still floating on top of the water, but my shrimp really love hanging upside down on my pod...
Cannot get this to sink no matter how much I boil it but the shrimp love to still hang on it floating.
Great products! I love Shrimpy Business
Provides a great natural hiding spot for shrimp. It was also much larger than expected which was a nice surprise!
Good size Lotus pods. Great for shrimp
Very nice, I bought it only because smaller pods were not available, I prefer the smaller pods
Initially I thought these lotus pods would eventually sink the bottom of the tank. Or maybe it's just my pair of lotus pods that stayed afloat but the shrimp seem to love their floating load of pods to them it's like a yacht they get to hang out inside. I see them chilling upside down in each of the holes.
Very happy with my purchase
I really didn't know much about lotus pods and the size. They are awesome.
