About This Species

Java Moss onΒ  mat is a simple, convenient product where it can be used as a wall or floor for your aquascape.Β

Java moss has roots in Asia, where it can be found dispersed throughout Malaysia, Java, and India. Now used by hobbyists, java moss in fish tanks has become the common option because it’s versatile, beautiful, high quality and efficient for fish and shrimp to thrive.

The versatility of aquarium java moss makes it simple to mix things up in your personal hobbyist tank - attach it to hardscape, driftwood, or cholla wood, or let the java moss aquarium plant float freely for a lovely aquatic aesthetic that also serves as spots for coverage and breeding.

Beyond its ability to protect shrimplets and fish fry, java moss can also help maintain high water quality.

Java moss is easy to care for; its hardiness allows it to thrive in most water conditions and grow freely throughout the tank. Keep an eye on dirt buildup, excess algae growth, overgrowth and leaves that turn brown.

As a total newbie and first time Java moss user

As a total newbie, I was a bit bummed that I couldn't find a clump of moss, but now I'm stoked to have it on a mesh. The mesh is a game-changer - it's easy to cut and shape, and it keeps my moss from floating away 🌊.I believe it saved me a ton of frustration. So easy to shape and size to my tanks needs. the Moss was packed well and I will be a repeat customer:)
