Japanese Trapdoor Snails also go by Chinese Mystery Snails or it's scientific name SINOTAIA QUADRATA. These snails have a spiral shaped shell with unique coloration and patterns. They tend to have a mixture of brown, green and white, every snail will have different patterns and coloration.
These snails are sold at about 1/2". but can grow up to 2 inches in length!
They are great algae cleaners and will do minimal damage to plants. We supplement their feeding with sinking pellets and blanch vegetables. They are also completely peaceful and will not bother any freshwater shrimp or nano fish.
Recommended Tank Parameters:

This are stunningly beautiful snails. They do breed, but actually give live birth to a couple of snails at a time, rather than laying hundreds of eggs, so the population growth is manageable. It let's me add juveniles to other tanks.
My two arrived Alive and Adorable 😊. The smaller one was active right away and it took alittle bit for the bigger one to feel comfortable with its new surroundings but eventually starting Exploring ... Love them both ❤️
Cool snail
Two normal brown or tan snails, one with the greenish turquoise shell—all are doing well. Very satisfied and will order more as soon as I setup and get another tank brewing.
Getting another!!
