Harlequin Rasboras are beautiful Nano Fish and are one of the more popular Rasbora species in the hobby. They have a beautiful bronze, metallic color with a unique pattern on their bodies. They are a smaller fish and can grow to a a max size at about 1.25 inch.
Like most Rasboras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They are a naturally schooling fish so having a large school of these guys is pretty cool to watch! They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.
These fish should not eat adult shrimp but might go after small shrimplets, we recommend having sufficient plants or hiding spots for aquariums with both Harlequin Rasboras and freshwater shrimp.
These Nano fish are naturally found in soft, acidic water in their natural habitat. However, they are pretty easy to care for and can acclimate to a wide range of parameters. The following are our water parameters we keep them at:
Our Tank Water Parameters
PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7-8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75
We feed them a mix of frozen brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.

I am really happy with these healthy, adorable fishes. Shrimpy business was very transparent and helpful with keeping me informed about an issue with a different fish I had ordered and allowed me to choose how to proceed. I am so glad to have gotten the harlequin rasboras. They had some color when received and really nice orange and coral iridescence since the following day. Very friendly too and fun to watch them eat! They move too fast to get a clear pic lol
All of my Nano fish arrived very active and healthy.
