This is a unique variation of the popular Neon Tetra. These stunning fish are are relatively small and can grow to a a max size at about 1 inch which makes them perfect for a planted nano aquarium.
Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.
These fish are adult shrimp-safe, however, we recommend having sufficient plants or hiding spots for aquariums with both Neon Tetras and freshwater shrimp.
Neon Tetras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters. The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7 to 8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75
We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
Arrived in excellent condition. Once I floated the bag on the tank for 30 minutes, I acclimated them to the tank by putting some of the tank water into the bag and within five minutes of putting them in the tank they were already eating and engaging with the shrimp.
My green neons arrived safe and sound. They are such a treat to watch.

Nice looking fish. I actually didn't know about these particular tetras until I found this site. I wanted something small for my 10 gallon tank, these guys were perfect. All were alive and active upon receipt and continue to be active in the tank.

Very pretty but oh such small mouths
They arrived quickly but color was way off from stress. I though I was going to loose a couple but all pulled through and are showing off that blue-green stripe!
I ordered just three and was sent double the order, so six total, but all the green neon tetra I received had a parasite. They all died within a day or two (other fish I received did fine). They were covered in small white spots, probably Epistylis.
Arrived in great shape, lost one since then, but assuming that's my fault or just the way of things ... Settling in well now. Still a bit skittish, but Very pretty and fun fish to watch.
