Golden Rummynose Tetra (Tank-Bred)

The Golden Rummynose Tetras is a morph of one of the popular Rummynose Tetra. Compared to the Rummynose Tetra, this golden morph shows off a metallic sheen which makes it stand out even more in tanks with dark backgrounds or substrate. These stunning fish are are relatively small and can grow to a a max size at about 1 inch which makes them perfect for a planted nano aquarium. 

Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.

These fish are adult shrimp-safe, however, we recommend having sufficient plants or hiding spots for aquariums with both Rummynose Tetras and freshwater shrimp. 

Rummynose Tetras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
