Gertrude Spotted Blue Eye Rainbowfish (Pseudomugil gertrudae) are unique and colorful fish with vibrant blue eyes, stunning spotted patterns. With a peaceful demeanor and easy care, it's perfect for both beginner and experienced fish enthusiasts.

We recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more to achieve the best coloration for both males and females.

These fish are adult shrimp-safe, however, we recommend having sufficient plants or hiding spots for aquariums with both Spotted Blue Eye Rainbowfish and freshwater shrimp. 

Spotted Blue Eye Rainbowfish are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
