Apistogramma agassizii 'Fire Red' is a highly sought-after, selectively bred variation of the popular Apistogramma Dwarf Cichlid. The 'Fire Red' is named for the brilliant red-orange that saturates the male's fins, particularly the caudal (tail) and dorsal fins. This fiery red is beautifully contrasted by a shimmering body that exhibits glowing yellow, gold, and pink coloration, often highlighted by the Agassizii's classic elongated shape. Females are usually more dull in coloration.
Males reach an adult size of about 3 inches and females tend to be a little smaller. Making them ideal for a smaller aquariums, we recommend at least 10 gallons for a breeding pair.
To replicate their native habitat, we recommend a sandy substrate and ample hiding spots like plants, caves and drift wood.

Very disappointed. Specifically ordered from Shrimpy Business because of these fish that were new to your company. I ordered 3 females and 1 male. While not dead - they were all in bad shape. One died within minutes, another the next day and the other 2 are still hanging on.
*****UPDATE - changed 1 Star to 5 Star b/c Company proactively reached out to me and offered me credit without me asking as technically I didn't meet the requirements*** While this can happen when dealing with live animals the excellent customer service will have me ordering from Shrimpy Business again!
