About This Species
Duckweed is a great addition to any shrimp tank. They maintain water quality by absorbing nitrates through their roots and also provide great coverage for shrimplets or other fish fry. They grow pretty quickly under high-lighted conditions and are a fast-growing beginner plant!
We sell them in golf ball sizes.

huge chunk of duckweed, it all came green as ever and still looks great. now i just have to get it off my hands…

I can't believe how awesome the Duckweed looks floating around. My Leopard Ramshorn snail is floating around the top just having a feast 😋

Was small and bright green and bouncy of seeds that got shocked into filter thought they would be bigger but very small.
The duckweed we got from Shrimpy Business is the best. It has taken over our tank and the fish and shrimp LOVE it!

Plants were all DOA. Shrimp were healthy, which is the important part of the order, but the duckweed was completely rotten by the time it arrived so I just threw it out.

Originally only bought 2 small cups now it’s been a month ish and it’s reproduced so much I’ve got more like 10+ cups of it.

I couldn't find a single duck in any of this weed ;-). But the plants are nice and consuming the nitrogen in my tank.
My neon tetras and shrimp absolutely love it. It helps soften the LED light in my aquarium and now my tetras are swimming around a lot more were before they just stayed at the bottom in the plants. The packaging was professional and well done. Some water did leak during shipment but thats to be expected. All the duck weed was green no brown or died leaves. And also a BIG pluse at least to me is there was no worms or anything in the duck weed. So in other words, if you are looking for professional packaging, great quality products with good prices... I highly recommend this and any product Shrimpy Business sales.
