Daisy's Ricefish

To protect our animals and to ensure they get to our customers healthy, we will only ship orders with Nano Fish via UPS Next Day Air.

Daisy's Ricefish are beautiful small fish, photos do not do them justice! Mature males have a metallic blue body with red striping down the dorsal and ventral fins, while the females are beige in color with red edges on the fins. They are a smaller fish and can grow to a a max size at about 1 inch which makes them perfect for a planted nano aquarium. We will try our best to include both males and females in a pack of 5 fish.

We recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.

These fish are adult shrimp-safe, however, we recommend having sufficient plants or hiding spots for aquariums with both Daisy's Ricefish and freshwater shrimp. 

Daisy's Ricefish are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  The following are our water parameters we keep them at:

We feed them a mix of frozen brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
