These Blueberry Snails (Viviparus sp.) were discovered in Papua New Guinea and are a relatively new species to the hobby. Unlike Nerite snails that are egg layers and require brackish water for their eggs to hatch, these unique snails are freshwater livebearers. The gestational period for these snails is about 2 to 3 weeks and females will give birth to one baby snail at a time. 

We feed them a combination of our own foods Shrimpy Party, protein party, blanched vegetables (Spinach and Zucchini) and Mulberry leaves.
