These Blueberry Snails (Viviparus sp.) were discovered in Papua New Guinea and are a relatively new species to the hobby. Unlike Nerite snails that are egg layers and require brackish water for their eggs to hatch, these unique snails are freshwater livebearers. The gestational period for these snails is about 2 to 3 weeks and females will give birth to one baby snail at a time.
We feed them a combination of our own foods Shrimpy Party, protein party, blanched vegetables (Spinach and Zucchini) and Mulberry leaves.

"Healthy, active, and stunning! These guys were exploring within minutes of being added. Excellent quality—highly recommended."
He arrived very small but is settling into his new home and starting to explore. Cute neon markings peek out from his shell... he's too cute!
Cute snail. It stayed in its shell for about 12 hours but then started climbing up the glass. Very pretty colors. It was smaller than I was expecting but that is ok. I may order another one in the future.
Colors look pale. It does not look like the picture
Love them. Will order from you again!!
