Native to Southeast Asia, these light blue shrimp can be found in Taiwan, southern China, Vietnam, and Korea.
Neocaridina Blue Jelly Shrimp are light translucent blue variety and are popular due to their unique coloration. We suggest speciality high-quality shrimp food if you really want to make their high grade color stand out and provide them with optimal nutrition to thrive in your aquarium.
Blue Jelly Shrimp care is relatively easy - they’re not picky eaters, can swim in various water temperatures and breed well in freshwater environments.
Blue Jelly shrimp will be able to breed with other Neocaridina varieties. However, the offspring will revert back to their original wild-type (brownish shrimp) after a few generations. If your goal is to line-breed these shrimp, we recommend sticking with one Neocaridina variety per tank.

I've ordered from Shrimpy Business in the past, and had no issue with the shrimp (previous order was for Blue Dreams a few years ago). This time around, I unfortunately had one DOA. The bag smelled rough, and that Blue Jelly had turned slightly pink by the time I got a hold of the package. Next morning I find two more shrimp of my ordered ten, dead in the tank. It's a 45 gallon with other shrimp so I worry the stress of the travel with a dead shrimp may have done them in as my previous shrimp were fine.
From other sellers they offer 1 or 2 extra shrimps to account for DOA and I think something like this would be great to implement. I'm so sad there's a chance that my 3 male shrimp may have been the the 3 I've lost so far, leaving me no chance at a colony.
So far everyone else has been doing oka, their colors look great and seem to be active.y
I love watching these guys! They’re so pretty and graceful. They arrived healthy and there was an extra shrimp in the bag.
Gorgeous shrimp. All arrived healthy and lively. Thank you!
So I ordered the breeder pkg. when they arrived I had 2 doa. ( happens I expected it) so with tha I was knocked down to 8 shrimp. Then I had three more die two days later. Again I expected that also just because of shipping is astressful event on its own then a whole new tank and environment on top of that. So as of today almost two weeks later I have 5 shrimp left and they are very active and doing very well. I’ll definitely order again they delivered quick and were pkg very well with a hand warmer for the cold shipping. I don’t blame the company for the doa or the one that died after it’s just how it goes.
