Bamboo Shrimp (ATYOPSIS SPINIPES)

Bamboo Shrimp (aka Singapore Flower Shrimp), are the gentle giants of the freshwater shrimp family, we sell them between 2" and 3.5". They will sit in an area with light current and filter feeding through their mitt-like front four legs. I know, pretty cool right? They will also pick food off the ground like other shrimp varieties. 

Like the Amano shrimp, the larvae require salt water to survive, so they will not reproduce in a freshwater aquarium. They are peaceful creatures and do well in most water conditions. We keep them in same water conditions as our Neocaridinas listed below.
