Description
Bamboo Shrimp (aka Singapore Flower Shrimp), are the gentle giants of the freshwater shrimp family, we sell them between 2" and 3.5". They will sit in an area with light current and filter feeding through their mitt-like front four legs. I know, pretty cool right? They will also pick food off the ground like other shrimp varieties.
Like the Amano shrimp, the larvae require salt water to survive, so they will not reproduce in a freshwater aquarium. They are peaceful creatures and do well in most water conditions. We keep them in same water conditions as our Neocaridinas listed below.

We have two of these guys and we love them. They are pretty big but have the ability to hide in plain sight, which makes them fun to find. Recently, the bigger guy has been trying to get up to our floaters and he swims with a slight grace. Very entertaining and a perfect addition to our peaceful aquarium.

My bamboo shrimp arrived happy and healthy. My sweet girl is super active and loves to camp out on my amazon sword right above the air stone, or on my anubius right under the filter current. She was very shy at first, and wouldn't come out much, but now that she is used to the tank she is almost always visible!

I’ve had other bamboo shrimp from elsewhere that did not do well. But this one went right to feeding and found the best spot in the tank near the filter. Colored up to a nice tan color quickly. Seems quite content and looks healthy.
This little (big) guy is pretty cool. Camps out in the water flow and picks particles out of the stream. Fun to watch.

Shes such a beefy bamboo shrimp I love her, such a joy to see her with her weird little fans, her name is Jumbo. My dad said ‘whats so special about her shes just like any other prawn then she did the fan thing and he was instantly won over lmao
He is sitting on a pice of driftwood in the current eating all of the little particles out of the water and enjoying his life

Kyoshi arrived in excellent health, and spent a few days looking around the tank. She eventually ended up about 4 inches from the wave maker, hunkered down on some driftwood and letting it blast her in the face. It was fun to see her get more comfortable with me walking around near the tank. Now she proudly perches in plain view, feeding all day long. I love these little guys.
I am really excited with these shrimp. They have gotten over their initial shyness and I see them feeding all over the place. They are fascinating to watch

Second time ordering shrimp/fish from shrimpy business. Bamboo shrimp arrived healthy along with the rest of my order. Have not received one dead shrimp or fish out of the 30+ I’ve ordered so far.

Shrimp arrived without a heat pack in the box. The water was almost 60 degrees upon arrival. I tried to acclimate them slowly before releasing them into the tank. They all died several days later.

It looks like your order was shipped right after the thanks giving holiday and there was some postal delays with usps. I was super excited to get two of these shrimp, then got super nervous because they just hid for a while, and I was afraid there wasn’t enough flow or food in the water column for them. However one just molted and now both have been coming out to filter feed, which has been fascinating to watch! These ladies and the cherry shrimp are the center pieces of the tank, for sure!

They are quite large, few days after he arrived he molted. I can usually find him near the the bubbler filter or near the aerator, with his Pom poms grabbing food in the column. They can actually swim quite well for as big as they are. Very peaceful little, or really should say huge guys.
