Amapa Tetra

The Amapa Tetra (Hyphessobrycon amapaensis) is a stunning freshwater fish known for its stunning mix of iridescent blues, greens, and subtle hints of yellow, these tetras light up your aquascape. 

Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank.

Amapa Tetras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.  

We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
