About This Species
To protect our animals and to ensure they get to our customers healthy, we will only ship orders with Nano Fish via UPS Next Day Air.
Pygmy Corydoras are absolutely one of our favorite small fish. If you're looking for a cute, small, schooling fish, these guys are for you! These Pygmy Corydoras we sell are bred in captivity by hobbyist and are not wild-caught. This means that they come from a sustainable source and are typically much hardier compared to wild-caught Pygmy Corydoras. Due to their smaller size and adorable schooling behavior, these fish have become pretty sought after in the hobby. They are a smaller fish and can grow to a a max size at about 1 inch which makes them perfect for shrimp tank.
We recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school.
Pygmy Corydoras are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters. The following are our water parameters we keep them at:
Our Tank Water Parameters
PH: 7.2 to 7.5
GH: 7 to 8
KH: 3 to 4
TDS: 180 to 250
Temp: 72 to 75
We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
First of all, Gwen was wonderful with a lot of back and forth with my order as I am new-ish to the hobby and just got a community tank up and running. She helped me pick some good room mates for the fish I already had, which I appreciated greatly. My little cories are doing well, they take naps on plant leaves, keep my sponge filter clean, and even join in when my chili rasboras and white clouds start schooling. Healthy and happy fish!
Ordered (5) pygmy corys, they arrived alive and healthy. Very happy!
Update: about a month has gone by and the fish are still doing great!
I am in love with these lil guys! All arrived healthy and active and they are looking great still 4 days since arrival. I imagine them yelling "weeeeeee!!!" when they zip around the tank! :)
Healthy thriving pygmys
Cory’s arrived super healthy and shipping was fast, great first time buyers experience, they arrived small which I absolutely have no problems with the been in the tank for a week now and looking fatty already, super happy.
Arrived healthy
These little tiny guys are absolutely adorable.
I love it when they swim around in their group.
I love my pygmy corydoras! They explore all over my tanks. They are smaller than I thought they would be but I'm excited to watch them grow!
The babies arrived alive and active. One was lost in a tragic net jumping accident. The rest have found their safe corner and have started exploring their new home.
Tiny but healthy, nicely packed
Health fish fast delivery great service
Fast shipping. Fish were packaged well and safely. Super active healthy fish. Very happy.
Love these little guys. Arrived happy and healthy. Still going strong over a month later.
Even though the flight was delayed, everyone got here happy and healthy!!!
All of my pygmy cories showed up healthy and happy. They are a delightful addition to my tank. I could watch them all day!
All arrived alive and are still thriving in my tank.
All 6 of my Cory's arrived alive and are enjoying their new 20 gallon home with their new buddies blue dream shrimp and rasboras. Ive always had healthy shrimp and fish from Shrimpy Business!
3 was just not enough. This is my second order of Pygmy Corydoras from Shrimpy Business--These incredibly entertaining little guys need a good size school to decrease their need to intensely interact with each other all the time. All arrived alive, healthy and ready to grow.
Arrived healthy and are doing well. Very active fish—definitely among my favorites.
The fish arrived, healthy, and vibrant. They adjusted to their new tank and I’ve had no issues.
Wonderful They are so tiny and thriving I love them.
See my other review.
Came as advertised, swimming around and being cute.
The fish arrived in great condition!
First time ordering from here, packaging was amazing and shipping time was very quick. many more to come! All of my pygmy corys are alive and now just chilling in the tank.
All of them are doing well.
Second time ordering them. First time I ordered they didn’t arrive next day after shipped but they did arrive alive. They lived, reproduced, they did amazing. I decided to buy them again and same thing, they didn’t come the next day after shipped and this time 2 out of 3 were dead. The fish themselves are great. I’m not happy with the shipping. Fish were refunded but shipping cost more than the fish.
4 days now all 12 swimming about eating ,quite small, be ready with tiny food . Cover you intake . Very satisfied. Will definitely 💯 recommend and buy more fish for my fish room aquariums . BTW packaging was by far the best . Wado ...
The pygmies are so cute and seem to really like their new home. They are very frisky and run around all day checking everything out and looking for food.
Healthy and frisky!! Started eating right away!
Be prepared, that are iddy bitty!!
These 6 little guys buzz around my tank all day, eating, exploring, seemingly playing. They arrived perfectly healthy and adorable. Thanks, Shrimpy!
